The Mom's Day
Out program of Stone Oak Presbyterian Church commits to providing a loving, nurturing
environment for children ages eighteen months through preschool.
We focus on
each child's spiritual, emotional, academic and social development by providing
age-appropriate, Christ
centered activities.

Opening day is the first Tuesday after
Labor Day. Classes meet on Tuesdays & Thursdays

Fees and Tuition
Annual Registration Fee $50 per family
Annual Supply Fee $100 per child
Monthly Tuition $160 per child
Class Time
Children participate in various age appropriate
activities using center approach to learning and discovery.
Older children develop number concepts, reading
readiness and problem solving skills
through
sorting, counting, puzzles and other manipulative activities.
Younger children feel secure to play and explore in a
safe, loving, nurturing environment.
They feel good about themselves as they master each
new stage of their development with encouraging help from caring teachers.
Music and Motion Class
Children
participate in various games and activities using music, rhythm,
and motion to
encourage large motor skill development.
Chapel
Older children
attend Chapel in the morning where they enjoy learning about God's love
through creative
Bible story presentations, singing and praying together.
Lunch
Children bring
their own nutritious lunch consisting of finger foods and drink.
Food will not
be refrigerated or heated. We will provide a light snack during the day.
Rest Time
Children rest
every afternoon on mats provided by parents.
They may bring
a special stuffed animal, doll, blanket, and/or pillow.
Personal items
will be sent home each week. Every child is expected to rest quietly during
this time.
Health
An immunization record, medical emergency card and
allergy card is required on each child.
No child can be left who has had fever, vomiting,
diarrhea, questionable rash, or contagious disease within 24 hours of Mom's Day
Out;
discharge
in or around eyes; green or yellow runny nose or excessive coughing.
If your child shows signs of illness during day, you
will be notified. Medication can not be administered by Mom's Day Out staff.
Safety
Staff are
be trained in CPR and a minimum of two staff members will be trained in Red
Cross First-Aid.
A sign-in sheet is provided for each classroom.
Children must be signed in and out by a parent or responsible adult
who will
provide a number where they can be reached during the day.
If parents wish to designate another person to pick up
their child, the name of that individual must be in the child's file
or
parents must make arrangements with the MDO director when the child is dropped
off.
Teachers will ask for a photo ID when identity of an
individual is in question.
Accidents or injuries and administered treatments will be documented and kept in your child's file. Parents will be notified of any incidents.
